Perfect cove for swimming and diving with an astonishing view

A little over twenty kilometres from Lecce and a stone’s throw from Otranto, between Torre dell’Orso and Baia Dei Turchi, is Torre Sant’Andrea, an ancient fishing village, near the quaint town of Melendugno.

The Faraglioni certainly represent the distinctive feature of Torre Sant’Andrea: a true work of art that emerges from water that looks like a palette of colours, from blue to emerald and which reflects a wonderful seabed. They have in fact given life to those who seem “guardians” who keep the nearby lighthouse company.

Of all the stacks, the most striking is the arch-shaped one: the “Arco degli Innamorati”, which gives you the unique chance to swim through crystalline water on calm sea days.

Behind this astonishing spot, a wonderful pine forest extends up to the Alimini lakes. Walking along these green paths, you can discover sandy beaches that emerge only at low tide, with stone steps that make them accessible to those who love intimacy and privacy.
